Mr. Bienstock is a graduate of City College of the City University of New York, and received a J.D. from New York University School of Law. Currently, he is a member of Cohen, Hennessey & Bienstock P.C., where he specializes in Matrimonial Law, Family Law, Trials and Appeals. Previously, he served as Executive Director, NYS Commission on Government Integrity; Chief, Consumer Frauds Bureau, Deputy Chief, Public Advocacy Division, and Chief, Civil Rights Bureau of the Office of NYS Attorney General Robert Abrams; Staff Attorney and Litigation Director, Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund; NY Civil Liberties Union Children’s Rights Project; and Law Clerk, Federal District Judge Charles E. Stewart, Jr. He was Administrator, New York Democratic County Committee Independent Judicial Screening Panel for Supreme Court, Panelist, Surrogate’s/Civil Court, and Ethics/Compliance Officer, NYC 2012. He also serves as a Referee, NYS Commission on Judicial Conduct.
