Bio:
Peter Glass graduated from Yale Law School in 1999 with honors and began his practice as an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York. He was a litigation generalist, with concentrations in IP, marketing law, and products liability (principally pharma), although he also gained experience in securities, insurance, and general commercial litigation. After three years with them, he joined Nixon Peabody in Buffalo for a year of trial experience working only on pharma and products liability trials, after which he would at Orrick for two years as products liability, IP, and marketing counsel. One of his advertising clients, Unilever, offered him a senior attorney position, which he accepted, and after he had been there for two years, he left to become General Counsel at an advertising agency, Euro RSCG, which is the US arm of Havas, one of the largest media companies in the world. In 2010, Peter opened a private practice, Glass Willitt LLC, that specializes in marketing, IP, tech, pharma, and general commercial law on both the transactional and litigation side, for established companies as well as start-ups.
Peter has developed and given many CLEs for institutes like the Defense Research Institute and the American Conference Institute, as well as written articles, mainly relevant to pharma law. The topics have included "Extracting Essential Liability Theories, Defenses, and Prevention Tools From the Cases That Are Shaking Up the Industry”, "Avoiding Third-Party Liability While Continuing to Reap the Benefits of User Generated Content", "Stealth Evidence: Admission of Inadmissible Evidence Under the Radar", "The Use of Technology in the Courtroom", and "Detecting the Lies in Statistics: What Every Lawyer Needs to Know to Understand and Challenge Statistical Inferences".
