Bio:

Scott Aurnou is the Vice-President of SOHO Solutions, Inc., an IT consulting and services company featuring computer security expertise.  His blog, www.thesecurityadvocate.com, focuses on computer security issues and breaking news in plain language.  He is also an attorney with over a decade of civil and criminal litigation experience with large and small law firms in the New York City area, as well as time spent as group counsel for a Private Client Services group with over $700M in assets under management at a major investment bank in Manhattan. As a litigator, he has developed his expertise through motion, trial and appellate practice in a number of areas, including securities litigation, commercial disputes, criminal law and architect and engineer liability matters, as well as labor & employment, matrimonial, construction and insurance defense litigation. Throughout his legal career, he has engaged in expert discovery and regular extensive discovery and e-discovery practice with a variety of software systems. As a natural result of this experience, Scott has a keen understanding of the importance of the securitization of information and preservation of evidence in admissible form. Before developing his courtroom and writing skills, Scott earned his JD from Albany Law School of Union University, where he was an editor on the Albany Law Review.
