Herb Rubenstein has practiced law for 28 years, and is a member of the DC, MD and VA bars. He has published widely on the topic of leadership development for lawyers and has taught leadership for lawyers training courses in six states and the District of Columbia. He is the Founder and Executive Director of THE LEEEGH, a nonprofit organization which stands for Leadership in Education, Energy, Environment, Governance and Health. He is also the President of the Sustainable Business Group, a leadership and business planning consulting firm.
He is the author of Leadership for Lawyers (2nd. ed., American Bar Association, 2008) and co-author of Breakthrough, Inc. – High Growth Strategies for Entrepreneurial Organizations(Prentice Hall/Financial Times, 1999) and Leadership Development for Educators (Rowman and Littlefield, December, 2009, US Publication; Overleaf Publishers, March, 2010, India Publication). He has also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Strategic Management at the Graduate School of Business of the University of Colorado Denver, is the President of the Denver Chapter of the Association for Strategic Planning Denver Chapter and serves on the organization’s Board of Directors. He is the author of 21st Century Standards and Practices for Boards of Directors (2nd ed., Bisk Education).
He is a founding director of the Association of Professional Futurists, and is the author of numerous articles on leadership and strategic planning. He has his law degree from Georgetown University, his Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs, a graduate degree in sociology from the University of Bristol in Bristol, England and was a Phi Beta Kappa/Omicron Delta Kappa graduate from Washington and Lee University in 1974. He won a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship for Graduate Study Abroad.
