Moving beyond a basic discussion of forms of corporations and their differences, Jeffrey Helewitz discusses how to help your business client decide: which type is appropriate, where to incorporate, whether or not to form partnerships, taxation issues and other issues facing the business client in this economic climate.

Jeffrey Helewitz

Jeffrey A. Helewitz is an Associate Court Attorney in the Law Dept. of Manhattan Supreme Court. Previously he was in the private practice of law in New York City as a transactional attorney, concentrating on corporate, trust and estate, and federal tax matters, and was an Adjunct Professor of Law at both CUNY and Touro Law Schools. He was formerly employed with the National Office of the Internal Revenue Service. Mr. Helewitz received his J.D. and LL.M. (International Business and Trade) degrees from Georgetown University Law Center and his M.B.A. (Finance) from New York University. He is the author of two dozen legal texts, including New York Civil Practice and New York Courts published by Pearson Publications Company, over a dozen legal articles, and several website reference materials.
