Herald Price Fahringer and his partner Erica Dubno share new insights into the profound impact the Internet has had on first amendment law, particularly on defamation actions. This course is a must see to understand what liability you may have from your postings on Facebook, Twitter, and various blogs. Mr. Fahringer reviews the major Supreme Court cases that have set important precedents concerning free speech, and he discusses the foundation of the first amendment and its significance to the American public. Ms. Dubno demonstrates how content published on the internet fits in the scope of first amendment rights and boundaries. She also demonstrates in great detail the process of filing a first amendment claim involving speech on the Internet.

II. Broadened Scope of First Amendment on the Internet
III. Requirements of a Defamation Action
