She was admitted to practice law in New York State in 1981 and clerked in the Appellate Division Second Judicial Department from 1980 until 1984. She then entered private practice and subsequently became the principal of her own firm, Sari M. Friedman, P.C. The offices are located in Garden City, New York and the firm employs several attorneys and support staff and it concentrates on matrimonial and family law representing people on Long Island, Queens and the five boroughs of New York City.
Sari M. Friedman has been honored as “Woman of the Year” by the Long Island chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners. She has frequently appeared on television to give an expert opinion in the area of matrimonial and family law and regularly lectures on topics of interest in that area.
