Description
In this program, experienced civil litigation attorney Nolan Klein provides an overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and how it applies to Florida business owners. Congress enacted the ADA to provide a comprehensive national mandate for the elimination of discrimination against individuals with disabilities. The Act gives Congress the power to enforce the Fourteenth Amendment and to regulate commerce in order to address the major areas of discrimination faced day-today by people with disabilities. This course covers the requirements of the ADA and raises red flags for Florida business owners to look for in order to avoid possible lawsuits.
