Description
Although many people often have properly executed wills in place, these documents alone do not address several important estate planning matters. Usually such wills are form documents or generic templates and do not reflect the client’s wishes or plan for contingencies that may arise because of complications due to taxes or financial issues. Join estate planning attorney Michael Canarick in this webcast as he explains how to conduct estate planning meetings so that clients are educated and can make informed decisions on how to create an estate plan. Mr. Canarick details exactly how he outlines an estate planning meeting and prepares a client before they even walk in the door to discuss their wills. Additionally, he lays out the basic facts and tax implications of estates and how to aid clients in planning for these developments. Furthermore, Mr. Canarick also addresses certain issues that are important to discuss with a client, including things like non-probate assets and retirement plan assets in order to ensure that a client’s heirs and successors will be shielded and protected from the entanglements of federal estate law. This is a great course for attorneys who would like to learn about estate planning from an expert in the field.
