The Enlightened Lawyer: Attorney Mental Health and Life Balance Issues

Faculty: Charles Price
Production Date: September 13 2011

Description

Throughout law school, students are taught to strategize by looking forward, and to study case law by looking backward, but are never taught to live in the present moment. As a result, attorneys tend to spend much of their mental energy ruminating about the past, deferring gratification, and never permitting themselves to enjoy the present moment. Join litigator, mediator, and frequent CLE instructor Charles S. Price for this enlightening presentation on attorney mental health and time management issues. Mr. Price shares his strategies for achieving balance in the pressure-filled field of law and provides viewers with tips for navigating the stressful waters of the legal profession. He explains how attorneys should not apply their legal skills in their personal lives and find a smooth flow for their work lives. This course is recommended for all attorneys as it will give them the opportunity to reflect and take steps to lead happier and more fulfilling lives.

Charles Price is OUTSTANDING in this program. He sums up the law school experience and mindset flawlessly and describes the pitfalls of that mentality. His advice should be listened to closely, but it is easier to absorb than to implement. Great course, highly recommend.
