Description
This program addresses everything a Pennsylvania attorney must consider regarding the mediation process in divorce proceedings from the policy considerations to the common myths. Attorney Clymer Bardsley discusses why mediation is the best choice for some clients and not others, and differentiates between the roles of a mediator and an attorney during the negotiation sessions. He also explains the divorce process itself and the documentation involved. Mr. Bardsley concludes with an analysis of Pennsylvania’s new child custody statue, including its updated custody definitions and parenting plans, and its implications on the mediation process. This course will be extremely helpful for all Pennsylvania matrimonial law attorneys who contemplate divorce mediation during their work, and enable them to reaffirm or reconsider their choices of whether mediation is a justified option for their clients.

Excellent program, especially for a family law attorney like me who has clients who have been to mediation. It was very enlightening to hear the points of view from which mediators work.
