International fraud is a huge issue for businesses as money can move from a secure account in the United States to a foreign bank in the blink of an eye. In cases of complex fraud, the number of jurisdictions involved or vehicles used to hide assets can be infinite and therefore a multi-jurisdictional investigation and particularized strategy are essential to achieve recovery. In this lecture, asset recovery specialists Eugene Becker and Eric Rein discuss the unique challenges of international recovery, the unorthodox processes that need to be followed, and the tools available to locate and recover assets. Mr. Becker and Mr. Rein thoroughly analyze the methods to identify assets by comparing and contrasting the various pre-action discovery techniques in the United States [28 U.S.C. 1782, CPLR 3102(c)] and in British Commonwealth jurisdictions (Norwich Pharmacal and Anton Piller). They then compare the differences between how the United States (Injunctions) and foreign jurisdictions (Worldwide Freezing Orders) allow assets to be frozen by claimants once they are identified. This course is essential for attorneys who are attempting to recover assets in foreign jurisdictions for their clients

Excellent overview to the topic of asset recovery, especially from overseas. You'll need more guidance (how, what, where) to file the appropriate documents, but the course is an enlightening introduction to the basic concepts.
Lisa (Quincy, IL)
I could listen to these gentlemen for a week. They are extremely comfortable with the subject and are able to convey that to listeners. Also, they work very well as a team. I would like to see a follow-up to this in which these speakers spend two hours leading me by the hand through very specific situations/examples. This was wonderful, but I want more from these speakers!
