Robert B. G. Horowitz is a general partner of Cooper & Dunham, LLP, an intellectual property law firm in New York City. A specialist in the field for 22 years, Mr. Horowitz has handled a wide variety of matters ranging from trademarks to trade secrets. Mr. Horowitz now primarily works on trademark and copyright matters but is responsible for bringing the first case in the U.S. where a patent owner of perfume bottle designs asserted its design patents to stop the importation of "grey goods". Mr. Horowitz represents a multinational Japanese consumer electronics company and a number of its U.S. subsidiaries, as well as clients in the perfume, food, clothing, insurance and financial services, data communications and publishing industries, among others.
