Description
“If you build it, they will come” is the theme of the 1989 film, Field of Dreams. However at the local level, building anything means first understanding a jurisdiction’s land use and zoning rules and the politics that surround the planning. Real estate attorney Erica Leatham explains how land use and zoning rules influence our personal and professional lives, and she further discusses how local politics can either help or hurt this process. This course makes clear the importance of using an attorney to navigate the frequently difficult and lengthy development process. In particular, Leatham provides the key points that every attorney needs to know on master plans, subdivision, and zoning and real estate transactions.
